The 2010 conference is going to be colocated with the 21st Annual Workshop on the Principles of Diagnosis (DX'10). DX'10 will run from October 13 to October 16. The PHM Society sponsors a data challenge annually, open to anyone. In addition to bragging rights, there is a cash prize for the winners in both the student and professional categories. However, the most exciting element of the challenge is the algorithms of the winning teams are published in detail in ijPHM, advancing the field of PHM as an engineering discipline. Moreover, the data set from each competition becomes a benchmark for future researchers to compare performance of their algorithms.
The International Journal of Prognostics and Health Management (IJPHM) is an open access, archival journal related to multidisciplinary research on Prognostics, Diagnostics, and System Health Management. IJPHM publishes full-length regular papers, technical briefs, communications, and survey papers. IJPHM is currently accepting submissions for its inaugural volume.
A Doctoral Symposium was held at the Annual conference of the PHM Society 2009. PhD candidates who conduct relevant research in PHM were selected in a competitive process. During the symposium, doctoral candidates presented their research interests and questions to a panel of distinguished experts. The panel assessed the technical soundness of the approach; how well the work addressed a potential future need in PHM; and whether the work advanced the state of the art in PHM.
