You can register for the Annual Conference of the PHM Society 2011 and the Battery Management Systems Workshop here. Registration fees are unchanged from last year.

You can reserve a room at the conference hotel by visiting the Hilton reservations link for PHM'11 here. We ran out of rooms at the negotiated rate last year, so be sure to reserve your room early.

  

The PHM Data Challenge is a competition open to all potential conference attendees. This year the challenge is focused on anemometer fault detection, a critical problem for the wind power industry, strongly affecting among other things the financing of a potential site.

Both Student and Professional teams are encouraged to enter! Winners of the Student and the Professional categories who attend the conference and submit an invited paper to ijPHM on their technique will be awarded a cash prize. Top scoring participants will be invited to present at a special session of the conference.

The PHM Society is proud to announce the first public forum dedicated to bringing all interested parties together and to discussing the state-of-the-art, technical limitations, and future research directions in this field. The goal of the Battery Management Systems Workshop is to discuss the emerging art and science of battery and power management for electric and hybrid vehicles as well as other mobile applications. A secondary goal is to document and benchmark the state-of-the-art in battery SoC and SoH estimation.

The candidate is expected to interact with United Technologies Research Center (UTRC) Program Offices and United Technologies Corporation (UTC) business units to enhance existing programs and provide technical expertise for decision support, diagnostics, prognostics and health monitoring system solutions, data mining methodologies, and anomaly detection methods. The additional ability to create and manage large databases and to provide data warehousing capabilities would be a plus, but cannot be a substitute for the technical expertise mentioned.
