The PHM Society is happy to announce that it has selected the National WWII Museum as its venue for its Banquet and Awards Evening at this year’s Annual Meeting and Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 16, 2013. The Banquet will feature the opportunity to network with PHM leaders and the Board of Directors as well as dine on catered local seafood and excellent regional cuisine under the magnificence of WWII vintage aircraft and the museum exhibits. For more information on the museum and venue, please see: http://www.nationalww2museum.org/

The National WWII Museum in New Orleans opened on June 6, 2000, as The National D-Day Museum. Founded by historian and author, Stephen Ambrose, the Museum tells the story of the American Experience in the war that changed the world — why it was fought, how it was won, and what it means today — so that all generations will understand the price of freedom and be inspired by what they learn. In 2003, Congress officially designated us as America’s National WWII Museum.

Conference attendees will dine among exhibits and interactive experiences that paint the picture of a nation answering the call to serve and defend by producing planes, ships, tanks and other vital machinery in unprecedented numbers. This is the story of America mobilized on land, in the air and at sea — told in a way that will fully engage the senses, the mind and the heart.
